The films take you on a journey into Scripture that both questions and comforts. With wrap around resources, the series is ideal for churches and small groups. This is your opportunity to encounter Jesus afresh.

Andy Frost teaching and talking on locations like the ones in the footage of the Jesus story, and clips of this footage. Good production of photographs on the covers and booklets.
The overall aim for the films is that in the blurb: ‘a journey into Scripture that both questions and comforts.' Attractive layout in short booklet.
The questions are set out in an innovative way, juxtaposed against stills from the Jesus story footage. No leader's notes or other instructions as to how to use it. Watch the video and pick the questions ... Questions are great though: thought-provoking, and a mixture of reaction to the Biblical story, topic and personal applications. Closing prayer is relevant.
A relatively inexperienced leader could lead this, as the questions should provoke good discussion, and the videos bring the Jesus story to life well.

No, and the dramatic footage of the Jesus story is strong.
As long as your group is happy to engage in discussion, this will work well.
Mix of well-produced video with good visuals, to bring to life Andy's teaching and reflections on the biblical story chosen for each video; and the discussion from questions. One prayer provided to close.
Likely to suit youth and younger adults best.
The last question each session asks, ‘What has this film and this discussion inspired you to do practically?' Responses to this may include working together.
Each session/DVD is based on a story from the life of Jesus, from a specific Bible passage, with some references to other stories and passages too.
All brought to life with the dramatic footage and Andy's narration/commentary on the topic.
Very well. Applications of the material throughout each video and the questions.
Evangelical.
This is an exploration of Jesus' character, his subsequent actions, and our response to that. How could exposure to the life of Jesus be anything but inspiring? Andy focuses on bringing out the challenge of this for the whole of our lives.
Plenty of challenge in each session, based on Jesus' approach to life. Questions should help people to engage with this.
Good focus on how Jesus chose to live, with Andy spelling out the challenges of this.
All the material is designed to allow the life of Jesus impact ours, with reference to the everyday issues we have to wrestle with, especially if we take on his way of seeing real life. Hopeful yet realistic.
