Welcome to lyfe
Lyfe provides small group sessions, events and other useful resources to help people discover a deeper life with God. Lyfe helps people to grow holistically and to experience a transforming relationship with God through Scripture and spiritual practices that have inspired and sustained Christians throughout the centuries.
Developed with Renovaré, our dedicated small group sessions are free to use as often as you like. Whether your group meets in a pub, coffee shop or at home you can either print off each session in advance or download them to your tablet or smartphone. Each session is easy to lead, highly relational and helps people to discover a balanced, richer and intentional rhythm of life with God.
Free small group sessions with a short online video and session notes, which are downloadable (3 A4 pages). Further backup and background articles and videos available for each session.

These cost £9.99 for six sessions.
Extra resources from time to time via site and Bible Society app, such as lyfe detox, daily podcasts and posts for the individual (January 2016); retreats; lyfe coaching for church and ministry leaders (1 year course).
Adult small groups, Growing and Beginning Christians.
Easy to use, attractive and engaging resource, with some profound teaching and good opportunities to explore the Bible personally and grow as a Christian. Excellent material.
Each topic aim is clearly flagged up at the beginning of the session notes.
Sessions comprise: Introductory paragraph; Review of previous session, video (3 minutes or so); Reading; Reflect (including notes on the passage, a couple of questions plus the invitation to consider what are the ‘shockers and blockers' for each person from the passage); Respond (responding to the topic with a challenge for action); Going Deeper (Further suggestions for developing one's relationship with God). No leader's notes as such, but obvious and easy to use. Clearly laid out session notes pages. Excellent backup material – big range of articles on both the topic, and the lives of Christians who have lived it out.
Any leader with a little experience, to encourage individual responses and engagement with the material.
Downloadable from the site, just the set of session notes for all. Personal daily Bible reading notes available via the website.
Excellent input on the short videos, from a variety of top quality speakers, including Dallas Willard, Paula Gooder, Andy Croft, Pete Grieg, Andy Flannagan and others.
Set up the video to watch, download and print the session notes, familiarisation with the material.
Lyfe is on the Bible Society website, with a facility to tick off the topics as one goes through. Bible Society app. Extra resources from time to time via site and app, such as lyfe detox, daily podcasts and posts for the individual (January 2016).
Each section invites people to participate, discuss, engage with the biblical material and be honest.
Good creative range of responses to the subject. Invitation to create own responses if suggestions don't appeal.
Should suit a wide variety of groups and Christian backgrounds. Would provide a change from the read-question-answer approach as the videos and suggestions widen the scope of the subject very well.
Responding with action is the focus every time, with lots of suggestions for helpful practices. Review slot highlights this.
Each session is based around one passage, which is printed out in full in the downloadable notes.
Great invitation to look for the ‘shockers and blockers' in each passage – the things that stand out or raise questions. Very helpful and succinct notes, just in bullet points, then a couple of good application questions.
Questions and ‘shocker/blocker' idea focus engagement personally with the passage. Respond and Going Deeper sections develop this further.
Broadly evangelical but suitable for a wide range of backgrounds.
An innovative way to engage with biblical material that encourages practical responses, and life changes. Much of the video material is inspiring, while still being realistic. All topics are relevant to growing as a disciple.
Lots of practical stuff; lots of suggested ‘baby steps' towards new ways of being.
Each session revolves well around the particular passage it highlights. Responses to this should stretch understanding of possibilities in the Christian life. Holistic view of the Christian life, especially if the One Year option is chosen.
Focus is on growing – the setting of real life is taken for granted. Hence the title lyfe.
Seen as an integral part of living God's mission in the world. Ideas and encouragement included.
Underlying vision for how the church, and Christians, can impact their surroundings when living as God wants them to. Invitation to play one's part.
Good consideration of these, plus more input in the backup material. Call to practical action always there.
Ideas and encouragement.
